Research and consultancy company integrating research, decision support and innovation for safe and sustainable water operations.
What Phi-Lab projects can access
- Autonomous ocean vehicles: a large fleet of offshore unmanned vehicles with multiple sensors (optical, CTD, active and passive acoustics), collecting physical oceanography and biological data for months, at the surface and through the water column. Use for ground truthing, complementing or calibrating satellite observations.
- Blue Insight data portal: a cloud-based portal, developed with Kongsberg Discovery, to visualise and contextualise large marine datasets, with features for assimilating satellite data. Processing pipelines for satellite observations can be developed and deployed in Blue Insight.
- High-resolution ocean modelling (FVCOM): models that capture and visualise oceanographic features, to complement and correlate satellite observations.
Best suited for
Marine and coastal applications that need in-situ data, ocean models or a data platform.
How to get access
Describe in your proposal which resources you plan to use, and for what. Selected projects plan partner resources at project start, and we connect you with a named contact at the partner. Access is subject to the partner’s availability and terms.
